Course Starting International Cadet - 13 July 2009
Thai Cadet - 26 October 2009
At the end of this course, participants are able to safely and competently carry out the watch keeping duties on board merchant ships both at sea and in port. They will be conversant with the basic principles as per STCW Regulations VIII/2 & STCW Code Chapter VIII.

5. Bridging Course Rating to Officer
Course Starting - 10 August and 02 November 2009
Bridging course is the course which joint conduct of Maritime Courses by both BIMS and Fiji Institute of Technologies for Ratings whoever would like to become an Officer in Merchant Navy in the future.

6. Graduate Engineers Conversion Course
Course Starting - 03 Aug 2009, 2 January 2010
This course allows the Graduates in Mechanical Engineering to Convert in to Marine Engineers. They will be conversant with the basic principles as per STCW Regulations VIII/2 & STCW Code Chapter VIII.
